This week baby is growing at an amazing rate — about a millimeter every day — and now is the size of a large raspberry. Our "little berry" is looking a lot less reptilian (even though he/she has webbed fingers and toes, his/her tail is just about gone) and a lot more baby-like these days, as his/her lips, nose, eyelids, legs, and back continue to take shape. The heart is beating at the incredible rate of 150 times per minute — about twice as fast as ours! And even though we can't yet feel it, he's/she's now making spontaneous movements as he/she twitches his/her tiny trunk and limb buds.
p.s. I have GOT to get cuter clothes for these weekly photo shoots. Those gym shorts are hideous.
So far just looks like you ate a big cheeseburger!!

ReplyDeleteI think I have about two pictures of me pregnant--this should be interesting. It's fun to measure your waist as time progresses. About two weeks before I delivered Bill and Dave, mine measured 43 inches! I weighed 139 pounds so you can imagine what that looked like. A beach ball is what they called it in the delivery room. :)

ReplyDeleteThat's a good idea, Gail. I'm hoping to be as lucky as you and weigh about that at the end. However, at my eating rate one could only hope ;)
