10 weeks

Hellooo, Double digits!
This past week has been a great one. A lot, if not all of my symptoms, have disappeared. I've been feeling really good. We have only a few more weeks to go before we're out of our first trimester, and I believe that is when we plan on announcing it to the world. Rich has been waiting for this moment, meanwhile his zany comments have been building up.

Here's a little info about Baby C from babycenter.com

Though he's measuring at the size of a prune — a little over an inch or so long, crown to bottom — and weighs less than a quarter of an ounce, your baby has now completed the most critical portion of his development. This is the beginning of the so-called fetal period, a time when the tissues and organs in his body rapidly grow and mature.

He's swallowing fluid and kicking up a storm. Vital organs — including his kidneys, intestines, brain, and liver (now making red blood cells in place of the disappearing yolk sac) — are in place and starting to function, though they'll continue to develop throughout your pregnancy.

If you could take a peek inside your womb, you'd spot minute details, like tiny nails forming on fingers and toes (no more webbing) and peach-fuzz hair beginning to grow on tender skin.

In other developments: Your baby's limbs can bend now. His hands are flexed at the wrist and meet over his heart, and his feet may be long enough to meet in front of his body. The outline of his spine is clearly visible through translucent skin, and spinal nerves are beginning to stretch out from his spinal cord. Your baby's forehead temporarily bulges with his developing brain and sits very high on his head, which measures half the length of his body. From crown to rump, he's about 1 1/4 inches long. In the coming weeks, your baby will again double in size — to nearly 3 inches.

Reading other blogs on here, I've found that a lot of the other women have posted this questionnaire often in their posts. I won't post it that often, but I figured for my 10th, 20th, and 30th week, it would be kind of cool to look back on and compare.

How far along: 10 weeks, we're in the double digi's now!
Total weight gain/loss: +7 pounds according to my doc visit on Monday
Maternity clothes? I'm not able to button any of my pants, but luckily they still fit everywhere else. I've been using a small hair elastic to keep the button fastened.
Stretch marks? ?? no, thank you. I've been trying to be consistent with my little lotion routine
Sleep: a lot! I've been waking up about two times a night to use the restroom. I also can not sleep in for the life of me. I'm up with the birds.
Best moment this week: celebrating our 6 month wedding anniversary
Food cravings: these past 10 weeks, it's primarily been pasta, sauce and CHEESE. anything cheese. I've also craved potatoes whether it's fries or mashed.
Labor Signs: way too early for that
Belly Button in or out? in
What I miss: controlling my appetite and the food I consume (quality and quantity)
What I am looking forward to: reaching the second trimester and also our appt on October 11th
Milestones: today we're a quarter of the way there. whoohoo!

  1. The tummy is getting cuter & cuter! I probably have some transition clothes you could wear to get you through. I found that when you are thin to begin with the clothes get tighter faster because 7lbs is alot on a small person. This is very exciting-love reading about it!
