26 weeks

Oh...My....Gosh, have we been busy !
I haven't written a post since the beginning of December and here we are mid-January. Yikes! My mom has been on my case about getting busy on my blog. Since she doesn't see me often, she relies on my updates to see my tremendous belly growth... which we'll get to later.

The holidays came and went, and what a joyful time it was! Us Condons have been non-stop traveling from Port St. Lucie, New Smyrna Beach and Atlanta. We are both so grateful to have such a wonderful family on both sides. They make the holidays even more special for us.

Baby's first (unofficial) Christmas was great. He hasn't joined us yet and he won for having the most gifts under everyone's tree... including ours. I think it's safe to say that he's pretty much set for the first year at least.
Baby C had a nice relaxing time in Atlanta. His cousins, Hannah and Lucy, got to (kind of) meet him and both are very excited for his arrival. He got to visit Stone Mountain while we were there. We considered climbing it, but I figured I would go easy on myself. Didn't want to overdo it and end up in a hospital somewhere in Atlanta. (I know my mom is cringing reading this right now)

Well, for the past six weeks I've done a lot of growing. Next week begins my third trimester and my hearty appetite is back. Sleeping is getting very difficult as I wake up entirely too early in the morning and can never seem to fall back asleep. This makes for long, sleepy days.
After almost a three month hiatus, we're back in the gym about three times per week. I know that if anytime were good to work out, it would be now. It's definitely boosting my mind and soul just by getting into the groove again. I've been a gym rat for so long, it felt foreign to not be active. Let's hope we can keep up the good work. It's not helping me lose any weight at this point, but I'm hoping that working out now will help me bounce back "post-kiddie".

In exactly two weeks our baby boy will be making a more defined appearance on the big screen. We're going for our 3D/4D ultrasound and I can't wait to be able to see his little features. I'm getting so antsy for this, I can't imagine how I'll be as we inch closer to his arrival. Ahhh... I often get spurts of reality that before long I'm going to be a mom. I'm going to have the opportunity to hold our little creation in my arms and snuggle him anytime I want. I yearn for the day.
This may sound crazy, but I've truly dreamt of this my whole life. Even in my early twenties I felt I would've been ready for a baby, but the circumstances weren't right at that time. Some people dream about having their fairytale wedding, career, house, car...I've always pictured myself as a parent. Rich and I have a similar approach to parenting when it comes to values, discipline, and nurturing, which I feel is most important. We're ready to show Baby C everything we have to offer. Brang it!

As promised, here's my ever growing belly over the past few weeks:
