Mama's Day

I'm no longer considered a "new mom" anymore, especially since this is my third year celebrating as a mother. This year though felt like the first time all over again. I no longer only have one little guy that lights up my life, but now I have two of 'em. Being their 'mama' is the most rewarding feeling in the world. These little boys bring so much joy and laughter to our life. I'm really unable to explain it. The feeling is overwhelming and when I look at both Spencer and Cameron, my entire body is just flushed with a ton of love and excitement. It's truly the best feeling. I can't help but wonder how I got so darn lucky.

This Mother's Day we didn't actually celebrate with our own moms. They actually got their celebration a week early. Instead, we packed up like The Clampetts, which is usually the case, and headed over to Clearwater Beach for three days. Our good friend Melissa and her little family invited us over for the weekend. She and her husband have a beautiful blue eyed little girl who is about eight months older than Spence. They got along famously, as expected, and we had the best weekend. Besides the fact that we packed too heavily and we've now learned that trying to take two(!!!) kids and luggage down to the beach, is extremely difficult. Next beach trip we will definitely plan accordingly. Other than that, we ate and drank a ton, relaxed both poolside and at the beach, and snapped a ton of pics, as usual.

Cue up the photo overload... While I did bring my bigger cami with us, I have not been able to find the time to clear any memory cards since the beginning of April. Let alone sort through pics. So, if I wanted to get a blog post done, mobile pics it is. I believe we got some cute ones though. What do you think?

Blueberry mimosa. Yes, please!

  1. Adorable, as always! I empty my cards every day into Picasa so that's never a problem for me.
