Bittersweet

It's no secret, I've been nesting for some time now. My poor husband has had to deal with my craziness during this 7 month (and counting) process. I am constantly cleaning, rearranging, purging and moving things around. I guess it's kind of a good thing though because our house is always in order. I just want everything to be perfect and ready while we await the arrival of our baby boy, Cameron. That's right, Baby C v2.0, which I no longer have to refer to him as, has a name...

We just got our maternity pics back (a separate post to come, but sneak peak above) and last night I had many of them printed out so I was going around the house like a mad person changing out a lot of our old pics. If a frame is not positioned ab-so-lute-lyyyy perfect, I will stand there adjusting it's location until I get it right. I think I've always had a little bit of OCD in me, but these days it's intensified like whoa. I must admit, I'm a crazed nesting woman! My bff, Bissell and I have been crazy tight lately. Anyone with kids or pets, or even just all wood floors, I highly recommend this tool.

That being said, a few weeks ago when we moved Spence into his big boy room, we got the nursery all ready and set-up for Cameron. Well, almost. The crib and bedding is back in it's original position and I cleaned out the nursery toy box (one of many) to include all of the infant toys, teethers, and such.
I've been delaying the rest... moving Spencer's name pillow and replacing it with Cameron's, taking Spencer's personalized blocks out and replacing those. Also replacing his bi-fold frame which includes a maternity pic of his parents and his ultrasound pictures. <tear> But it had to be done. That's no longer his room.
While setting up Cameron's room and putting all of his personalized items up is very exciting, at the same time it saddens me. It's very bittersweet. Reality is setting in that not only will he be here so soon, but also that Spencer is growing up right before our eyes. My little 8lb 6oz infant son who once occupied that nursery is now a toddler. A toddler with a mind of his own, and who we have watched grow into the sweetest and happiest little guy. He brings so much more love and joy into our life, and I'm sure it's just going to continue to get better from here on out. Bring on double the love from our two sons! :)
